December - Spotlight Employee 

 Andrea Faught, Executive Assistant to the President

Andrea Faught has been in the automotive industry for over 7 years, all of which have been with Dick Scott Automotive Group as Executive Assistant to Mr. Scott, our founder and president. Andrea enjoys working with Mr. Scott and all the "great people" around her.

Andrea graduated from South Lyon High School and lives in Plymouth with her Daughter, Alexis, and their Newfoundland, Samantha. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies (such as the new Harry Potter DVD), and spending time with the most important person in her life, her daughter Alexis.

Currently, Andrea drives a 2008 Jeep Patriot and when asked to describe her Dream Vehicle, she said it is one "without payments."

Andrea is our Spotlight Employee this month because of her dedication and commitment to Mr. Scott and his family of dealerships, along with her organizational skills and positive "can do" attitude. Thank You, Andrea for all that you do; you are an important member of the Dick Scott "Best Shot" Team!

November - Spotlight Employee 

  Lisa Beam, Apparel Specialist at Dick Scott Classic Motorcycles

Lisa Beam has been in the automotive industry for almost 3 years, all of which have been with Dick Scott. She currently works as one of our Apparel Specialist at Dick Scott Classic Motorcycles in Canton. Lisa is a senior at Madonna University majoring in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business Administration. She has been a vegetarian for 7 years and has been 1st honors on the dean's list for the past 2 years.

Her favorite part of her job is the dynamic personalities of the people who work at Dick Scott, as well as the customers. She also loves how many opportunities she has to learn more about the automotive and business industry.

Currently, Lisa lives in Canton with her boyfriend Paul, who is the most important person in her life because he is always there for her "no matter what - all day, every day." Lisa enjoys exercising, trying new kinds of fashion, hair, and makeup styles, going out with her friends and boyfriend, attending beer-tasting events, and playing board games. She has three pet puffer fish; Spike, Ike and Thomas Jefferson. Her favorite food is Tofu Pad Thai, her favorite movie is Gran Torino and her favorite book is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.

Lisa drives a 2003 Ford Taurus, but her dream vehicle is a New Black, Jeep Commander!

Lisa is our Spotlight Employee for November because of her hard work, dedication and her desire to learn new things. Thanks Lisa for all that you do; you are an important member of the Dick Scott "Best Shot" Team!

Recipe Of The Month - The perfect addition to any holiday meal!

Cheesy Green Bean Casserole

Prep Time: 10 min; Total Time: 50 min; Makes: 14 servings, 1/2 cup each

Ingredients:
2 pkg. (16 oz. each) frozen French-cut green beans, thawed, drained
1 can  (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) Velveeta Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1-1/2 cups  hot water
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 pkg.  (6 oz.) Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken

Directions:
HEAT oven to 350ºF.
COMBINE beans and soup in 2-qt. casserole; top with Velveeta.
ADD water to butter in medium bowl; stir until melted. Stir in stuffing mix just until moistened. Spoon over bean mixture.
BAKE 35 to 40 min. or until heated through.

Dick Scott PTA Program - Raise Money For Your School!

At Dick Scott Automotive Group, we realize how important it is to find new and innovative ways to motivate parents and guardians to support their children's education. That's why we continue to remind you about Dick Scott Donation Vouchers, a new way to raise funds for your school.
 
Remember, as a participant of our program, your organization will receive donation vouchers on a monthly or quarterly basis. The vouchers are for distribution to parent/guardians of students. Participants will, in turn, present them at any Dick Scott Dealership location when they purchase/lease a new or pre-owned car, truck or bike. At the end of each month, your organization will receive $100 for every voucher redeemed! Any costs associated with designing the artwork for your organization and printing the donation vouchers is absorbed by Dick Scott.
